19 students were injured after student "clashed" with gendarmes on campu over an attempt by students to demonstrate. Demonstrations are banned by the university. Subsequently, on Feb 14th, another group of students attempted to demonstrate for the release of their colleagues who were arrested the day before. The original source of protest was around poor living and learning conditions at the university.
